Stone Way N Safety Improvements

Good news coming to Stone Way in 2026! SDOT will be starting work on the Stone Way N Safety Improvements project this year. Safety elements will include:

• New marked crosswalks

• Intersection visibility improvements

• Pedestrian islands

• Median islands

• Flashing pedestrian crossing signs

• New bike markings

This project is funded from the Seattle Transportation Levy and supports Vision Zero goals.

“We’re making safety and accessibility improvements along Stone Way N between N Allen Pl and N 36th St. These changes will increase visibility and create safer and more comfortable crossings for people walking, rolling, and biking. We expect to being construction in 2026.”
