The August Meeting is: MOVIE NIGHT!

Tuesday, August 25th: Come out with your neighbors to enjoy a free Movie Night at B.F. Day Playfield! By popular vote, we will be showing School of Rock!

We enjoyed outdoor movies in Fremont for many years and hope to make them a regular occurrence once more. Show your support for Movie Nights in Fremont just by showing up to enjoy this free event with your neighbors! A big thank you to our generous sponsors whose donations allowed this event to be free for all:  Lighthouse Coffee Roasters,  Kevin Zelko Real Estate Broker, Comfort Keepers, Bill Crossman, Fremont Sunday Market, and the Holland Partner Group.

Tuesday August 25th, B.F. Day Playfield

Free admission, popcorn and cotton candy! Enter from Linden Ave N near N 41st St. Bring yourself, friends and family, and a blanket or chairs. We love dogs, but they are not allowed at B.F. Day Playfield.

  • Entrance is from Linden & 41st. Not accessible from Fremont Ave. Linden is the paved path for anyone rolling!

  • Bring your own seating.

  • City of Seattle does not allow dogs at the Playfield.

  • Nearby bus lines: 5, 28X, 40

  • Local street parking may be limited, walk, bike or bus if you can!

The movie will start at about 8:30 or when it is dark enough. We will be there setting up at 5:00pm. Come early starting at 6:00pm to find your seat, and to learn about the new emergency HUB at B.F. Day park which helps coordinate resources during disasters. Meet folks from some of your community organizations like the Fremont Arts Council, Fremont Creative District and Fremont Neighborhood Council. We're also super excited to have some of our nearby restaurants offer specials for our movie night. Visit these nearby restaurants to grab some local takeout before the show starts!

We also owe a huge thank you to Brandon Shimko, FNC Board Member, who used his many talents and a whole lot of effort and volunteer hours to make this happen!

Improvements at Woodland Park Ave North

This street safety project was entirely initiated by neighbors at Friends of Woodland Park Avenue North. They presented their plan to the FNC way back in 2023, moved it through the SDOT process, and the work is finally complete! FNC provided a grant for two planters on the improved street. Neighbors get together to make good things happen in the neighborhood.
